Adonia Tea House High Tea Experience

My friend, Sophia, @sopheats on Instagram, invited me for a complimentary spring menu high tea tasting to the lovely Adonia Tea House. Service was friendly, warm and professional, and it was a lovely little oasis in Kerrisdale.

The tea house was adorned with beautiful vintage ambience and interiors, as well as china for the tiered plates. It would have been nice if the teapot came in china instead of glass.

I chose the fig rose tea, which was floral and refreshing, while my friend ordered the peach tea.

I enjoyed the savouries, which were more classic and what you would normally expect from a high tea. The sweets stood out more and were not too sweet (mango cake, blueberry pannacotta, raspberry eclair). They also have vegan and vegetarian options, which is great.
As I did not eat the meat items, I did not come away feeling stuffed or bloated.

The fig rose tea (blend of fig, rose, pineapple and caramel-almond tastes) and peach dream tea (fruit mélange with fruity peach and pineapple tastes) were both light and zesty. The pebble sugar candy was a unique touch.

Bottom tier of savories: cheddar scone, meat and apple croissant, cucumber sandwich, egg sandwich and cheese and ham sandwich

Middle tier: smoked salmon pate on cracker, smoked salmon sandwich, apple flower tart, blueberry yogurt/pannacotta

top tier: chocolate opera cake, mango cake on cracker (my favorite - so fruity and refreshing), and raspberry eclair

Adonia Tea House is an accessible high tea location which transports you to a calming and feminine space, perfect for an afternoon tea of enjoyment with a group of close girlfriends, for some delicious treats and relaxation.
