Linh Ung Pagoda of Son Tra is located on the back of the strong Son Tra peak, considered the largest temple in Da Nang city both in scale and architectural art. It can be seen from My Le Beach and is definitely iconic in Da Nang.

This was definitely a serene and peaceful place to visit.

It is said that Linh Ung pagoda was built in a newly formed tourist complex of the city – Son Tra Peninsula tourist area, in the most prime location of this region. The pagoda has become a place of worship, living, studying of monks and nuns, Buddhists as well as a sightseeing place of visitors from four directions, an attractive spiritual tourist destination of Da Nang City where meeting the heaven and earth’s sacred air and people’s heart.

In the middle is the statue of Buddha Shakyamuni Buddha, on the right is Guan Yin Bodhisattva, and on the left is the Tripitaka, the four Dharmakaya deities and 18 Arhat are arranged according to a rule, protected for the electricity itself.

In particular, at Linh Ung Pagoda, the Quan The Am Buddha statue is considered the highest in Vietnam (67m high, 35m lotus diameter). The statue stood with its back against the mountain, facing the sea, the gentle eyes looked down, one hand displaying the tamarind seal, the other held the nectar of water as a peaceful sprinkler for the fishermen who were far away. On the crown of Quan Am statue, there is a 2m high Buddha statue. In the statue there are 17 floors, each floor has a altar worshiping a total of 21 Buddha statues with different shapes, faces, postures, called "Middle Buddha Buddha."

STOP #2: Ba Na Hills

Ba Na Hills is one of the top tourist attractions, particularly known for the famous Golden Bridge landmark.

Nested at the height of 1,414m from the sea level, the Golden Bridge is indeed an iconic architectural wonder that envisages the golden sash-like route across the heaven. Spanning nearly 150m long in the Paradise Garden, this bridge is an unofficial significant landmark, linking French Village to La Jardin D’Amour Gardens. The bridge measures 12.8m wide and nearly 150m long and comprises 8 arches, the longest of which is 21.2m. Unfortunately, it was foggy as a high altitude when we were there.

Other points of interest: Amusement Park (rides, 4D, 5D shows), Gardens, French Village [Zipline Coaster was unfortunately closed when went).

I’d refer to this website for comprehensive instructions on Ba Na Hills, which we used as a reference when navigating:

STOP #3: Cửa Ngõ Cafe

This highly rated cafe had really lovely Morrocan-styled interiors for a nice ambience to relax in. They have a good variety of beverages.

STOP #4: Emo’s Vietnamese Taste Restaurant

This was a truly mouthwatering snd delicious Vietnamese restaurant run by a down-to-earth and humble Vietnamese couple.

The wife has lovely paintings adorning the interior of the restaurant, which were painted in great detail. Their banh xeo pancake and passionfruit bass fish were definite standouts, and the sautéed morning glory was really fresh.
